While I liked the original Steel Division: Normandy 44 I think that the AI made playing the game by yourself not as much fun as it should have been. Fun On Your OwnĪs far as under the hood changes go in Steel Division: Normandy 44 - Second Wave I think the biggest one has to be to the AI.
Some divisions do have more units than others, but I think overall there is a great selection of units all around and this is what makes playing as these new divisions a great deal of fun.
I love the heavy-duty missiles the Royal Marine Commandos can fire into battle to keep an area clear for a short while. There are over 30 new units as part of this DLC! They each have their own feel as well so what you like will probably be different from what I like. Of course, with four brand new divisions to play with, you have a ton of new units that you can make use of. Each division has major weaknesses that can be exploited with a bit of hard work and clever thinking. Now what is great about these is that they walk a very fine line of being overpowered and also being able to be ripped apart!
